is there any way to export the audio of mpeg 1 files? i need to change them into a format compatible with iDVD, but can't find a way to export the audio portion of the files. any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can demux with bbDemux, to get an m1a audio file. You can convert this with iToons by changing the name to mp2 and stripping the type/creator codes if any. Or SoundApp
