I'm trying to import a DV stream I made w/ QT. It's 6 GB in size, after about 13 seconds of video import iMove crashes.

I helped someone with this exact problem. Delete the iMovie prefs. Try again. If it crashes, export from QT to DV again.

It worked for them, I hope it does for you too.

No luck. Well, at least it doesnt crash, it just stops importing.

I reconverted it several times.

what happens if you just put the file in the project's media folder?

It's a 30min clip and iMovie thinks its only 10. And it wont play it. If I put the sound track in and play the sound track it tries to play the movie portion but the display is black.
