I have several iMovie projects that exist only to hold iMovie clips. In other words I'm using those projects as a bags for clips. In this role, iMovie is not very efficient. Is there a better way to catalog iMovie clips?

The ideal app would be navigable like a browser, with folder hierarchies, indexing/searching and of course inplace previewing. It would also be freeware or shareware :-)

How do you, folks, handle this?

Thanks!

not an ideal solution to your problem, but:

grafik converter (lemke soft) does display movies in its browser… as a start......

Interesting, I forgot that Graffic Converter had some of those features.

Anyway, I did find one app that seems to do everything that I'm asking. It's called iView Media Pro. I got a demo version and so far it's kicking ass. It's actually $90 so I have to test pretty well before I decide to dish out the cash.

Any other packages that you folks are fond of and would recommend?

personally, i prefer a bag of chips to a bag of clips, but...

i just NAME them carefully, and keep them in folders with list view...

easy to navigate!
