I can't decide between the Exilim and the powershoot s200..

For those not familiar with these dig cams...
Both are about $300 and 2mp

Has anyone used both of these cameras?

If so...did you notice any difference in image quality between the two?

Edit: just read a bad review of the DIMAGEX....looks like it iwll be the canon...

I can't call the Dimage a bad camera, but as a non-professional, the Canon is a great camera for its simplicity, quality and most of all SIZE. If you don't have a camera with you you don't use it. The S200 is so small that it is easy to carry. That was a major factor for me. When I need more size, I'll grab a 3 MP, like the S230.

Overall, you'll be happy with the Canon.

Anyone know why the Canon powershot s300 is exactly the same as the s200 but it has 3x zoom instead of 2x....am I missing something? This seems a bit silly...

I finally decided on the Dimage X (yeh I know...none of the above).

Its thicker than the exilim but not as thick as the S200...
It is also inbetween the two in terms of weight.

And it has 3x zoom, and a stronger flash than the cannon...
(although I have heard the lens technology (periscope...not sure the official term) gives some artifacts...)


I still may change my mind tonight and cancel to get the exilim.

The Exilim has such a high cool factor....if only the images were good quality.
