fcp canvas and timeline

i got a memory error with fcp and also the battery was running on reserve so that myahave been it too. but the canvas and timeline are now no longer openable. anyone know why this is happening?

i am using os9 and when i saw this i saved and quit fcp. than when i opened fcp back up it didnt show the canvas or the timeline. than i tried restarting and it still hasnt shown up for it yet. any ideas?

what do u mean start a new one? i tried and went through everything to get it fixed. should i email apple about it?

can you re-open the project from it's last save at least? I would imagine you saved it at some point prior to the end?

alright my friend who had no idea what he was doing figured it out. im not sure how he did it but he got them to pop back up. thanks for the help.

When I use the "edit to tape" and select the sequence to use, the timeline and canvas for that sequence close, leaving the browser, viewer and edit to tape window. Sounds like this may have happened to you somehow. Just my two cents
