I have some problems with QuickTime, but on the Windows side.
1) QuickTime 6 on Windows NT just refuses to play anything consistently. It installs fine but when trying to play back stuff it just hangs. How common is this? I've tried multiple installs.
2) QuickTime on Windows XP does not seem able to play some MPEG-2 .mpg files which play fine in the OS X.2 QuickTime 6 player. This wouldn't be a problem except that in MS Internet Explorer, QuickTime likes to associate itself with these .mpg files. ie. I have asked Windows to use Windows Media Player to play .mpg files and it does for everything outside of Internet Explorer, but if I click on a link to an .mpg from within an HTML webpage, QuickTime always loads in the page... and then tells me the file is broken. How do I stop QuickTime from trying to play these?
