Part of iLife bundle of iTunes3, iPhoto2, iMovie 3, and iDVD3. All but iDVD 3 are free downloads -- good news. iDVD 3 is $49.
iMovie 3 has (among other things) has chapters which transfer over to iDVD 3 (!). Also has the "Ken Burns Effect" which allows you to pan across and zoom into and out of pictures ala Ken Burns' "Civil War" documentary. Generally cleaned-up interace, precise audio editing, etc. I wonder what exactly the differences in capability are between this and Final Cut Express.
iDVD 3 has some pretty impressive new themes that incorporate video from your movies into the menus. And of course the chapters from iMovie. It isn't entirely clear how video from Final Cut would work with the chapters feature, but I imagine the tracks from that would be usable as well, and hopefully you can change or add them in iDVD as well.
They are all integrated with the other digital hub apps. No mention of external DVD-R drives.
Apple DVD-R Media are now $3 apiece, too. Pretty impressive.

FC Express is basically a "DV only" version of FC Pro. It has a few features not availlable in iMovie. more simultaneous video and audio tracks, a better title generator, some basic compositing features, a more powerfull and efficient interface etc.
With every version iMovie is getting more than good for most basic editing need. Even more, with features like the Ken Burn effect (It's way more simple to do it in iMovie than in FCP). But once you've been doing editing for a while, you quickly feel limited with iMovie interface. Oddly enough, it's too simple when you need to do some specific and precise editing tasks.
All in all. iMovie is a great choice. But if you edit more than 10 hours a week. FC Expres is a great buy that's worth more than it's price tag.
