I own a g4 silver and the soundcard hasnt got a input. I know about iMic but here where i live its about 80$ and thats a bit too much, since i can get a nother sound card for less.

Ive got a nother computer at home, its a PC and its loaded with a Creative Live soundcard. Can i just put it into my mac? If it works, how do i tell my mac that the creative soundcard is the primary sound card and the other one shouldnt be active?

PCI cards built for a PC generally won't work out of the box with a Mac. If there is a Mac version of the card you may be able to flash it with a Mac ROM but there is no guarentee that this will work.

iMic is such a crappy product it isn't even funny. It adds hum to recordings and has really limited flexibility as an audio device.
