mpg to vcd ???

I have some South Park episodes broken up into 6 mpgs per episode. They're in mpg1 format, they're the correct size and frame rate for VCD, but they must be an incorrect bit-rate because Toast won't burn them as a VCD. Is there a way I can combine them into one VCD compatible mpg without re-encoding? I've tried joining, splitting, demuxing, and re-muxing with all the usual free tools (ffmpegX, MediaPipe, MissingMpegTools, VCDGearX, etc...) but maybe I'm doing something wrong because I get all kinds of errors. Is there an easy step-by-step way to do this???
Thanks

who was the genious that ripped a 20 minute show into 6 parts in the first place...anyway, why cant you just open up the mpgs in vcdgear, click mpg to mpg conversion, and click the generate Toast compliant mpg button. If you burn all 6 onto the same CD, they should just play into each other as far as I know.

If the MPG files are indeed VCD compliant (there's a difference between being VCD and Toast compliant), simply use the vcdimager portion of vcdtoolsX to make a .bin file. In Toast's VCD section, click Select and then "A Video CD image file." Find the .bin made with vcdtoolsX and burn the CD.
