I'm exporting a sequence from FCP as MPEG2. The end of the sequence has a cross dissolve to black. When I view the sequence in FCP or write it to tape it fades to black with no problems. When I export it to MPEG2 it fades to black but then I get a white frame at the end. Anyone else seen this and can tell me how to get rid of it? I could always trim the exported file in QT Pro but I'd like to know why it's happening in the first place.

This was because the clip in question would end halfway through an MPEG2 GOP. The Apple MPEG2 encoder completes the GOP with white frames. It would be nice if it displayed a warning, or put something into the protocol file it writes, indicating that it had to do this. I added a slug so that the sequence finished on a :00 frame and the problem went away.
