Hi

I just got my Final Cut Express, I use Final Cut Pro at work on the same machine as mine etc...

When I final can afford it, it turns out it wasn't worth the money...

I asked my boss to lend his Final Cut Pro and install it on my Mac as I felt things were way too slow compared to the Pro version...

So I did, what I realized was that it took almost twice as long to render and save and it dragged my system... I mean I had a hard time just surfing with Safari...

This is not so bad on the Pro version but on the Express... Forget it...

I have 1GB of ram and still it is way too slow...

Say does it not have the same engine as the Pro version? I thought all they did was to take out a few features not the main engine...

Honest it is very slow, it paralyzes my computer while rendering...

This can't be right! I hope they come with an update soon...

Well I am on an iMac superdrive... The same as the one at work. Except mine has 1GB RAM and at work it is something like 800+

Perhaps there will be an update...

Though I like the set up of Final Cut Express... I kinda tried the same set up with windows placement etc. in Final Cut Pro and it is so much easier...

It does wonders to my lame DV work...
