I'm still deciding which camcorder to get

Can anyone tell me if the Sony Digital Camcorder TRV-140E works with Final Cut Express & iMovie?

And can anyone confirm that it has DV IN? Some sites on the net say it has and some say it hasn't so i'm confused...

Thanks
Luke

Is it MiniDV?

I can't find that anywhere on the Sony site.

if it's miniDV, it'll work.

By "works" do you mean can you import video into these programs, OR, can you use FCE/iMovie to control the camera? I'm pretty sure almost any FireWire camcorder can import video into FCP (and I assume FCE as well), but not all camcorders can be controlled by these programs.

Its a digital8 camcorder, information on the model can be found here http://products.sony.co.uk/pro_runpr...V140E&Ire=

I know I can import video into final cut express or iMovie now but I'm still unsure whether DV IN is enabled on this model.

Various places on the net say this model is DV In enabled and some say it isn't.

But, if it isn't DV IN i've found a shop who will enable DV In for £29.99.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry, what I meant was that all Sony MiniDV cameras can import and be controlled via firewire.
