Do you think that with Logic 6, Emagic will overtake Digital Performer?
It's the devil's way now.

nah...people using this software rarely switch to other stuff. people who use DP will continue using DP, and people who like Logic will continue to use Logic. just like people who use ProTools will use ProTools on X (when it finally ships!

there's plenty of room for audio apps in the mac world!

Huzzah!

Do you think or have you heard one is superior to the other? I'm in the process of considering purchasing one....

Electronic Musician magazine's got a special issue out right now with an overview of about all hardware and software choices out there. Mac and PC. Think it's called "Computer Music special" or something like that. White cover.

I'm in the process of choosing as well, but I keep putting it off as the makers put off their OS X versions. I'm probably going to go with Pro Tools or Logic though. Previous work was all on a standalone VS series.

i think everyone who's got a mac running X is waiting to purchase some music software!

i'm in the same boat, i was thinking logic, but to tell you the truth, i'm more comfortable using ProTools, as that's what I use in 9. us music people are stuck in our ways, i guess. i mean, i still won't touch a software sampler, i'd rather chop up samples in my Akai S2000 then do stuff on the computer.

maybe i'll pick up an Mbox when it ships with ProTools 6. i dunno...Logic is cool, DP is cool (but way pricey), i think i can handle PT 6 LE.
