Hi.

So I finally got QTSS up and running, and it's streaming MP3s just fine. But what I really want to be able to do is stream mp4 movies I capture to any computer in the house.

Now...when I try to nab a test mp4 from my laptop (QTSS is running on my G4), I get this error:

"Test.mp4 is not a valid MPEG-4 file. . . . No 'moov' atom could be found"

Does anyone know what's going on here? These mp4 files were generated with QT. I've removed the DIVX codecs, thinking that that was what was causing the problem, but it's still a no-go.

QTSS requires that streaming movies be encapsulated inside another movie. Check in the QTSS help for the exact procedure.

When you encode a movie to mp4, don't select mp4. Select Quicktime movie and then in the codecs, select mp4. Had some problems with this too, but this is the way to do it (for webserving it too).
