I am trying to export some MPEG-1 movies as hinted movies. The purpose is to prepare them for streaming with the free Quicktime streaming server from Apple. The problem I am having is that some of my MPEG-1 files are causing Quicktime to hang during the export. The hang happens in different places for different movies, but always in the same place for the same movie.
Most of the MPEG-1 files are from EyeTV, but I think I also had a probem with an MPEG-1 file that I exported from a VCD. I have tried various settings and two different Mac's, both with 10.2.3 and Quicktime Pro 6.1 + MPEG2 plugin. I have also tried vcdgear with the -fix and -toast options.
Any ideas?
