Okay, so I know that iDVD 3 support chapters, but how do I mark those chapters in Final Cut Pro? I've got version 3. And after I mark the chapters how do I export it so that it'll work in iDVD? Will it work if I export it to a DV file?

Simple questions, I know, but I'd appreciate some answers. Thanks.

To actually mark the chapter put the play-head on the time-lime where you want the chapter and hit "m" - easy as that. The combo "Option+command+ m" will then let you edit the marker closest to the current position of the playhead and click the chapter marker button in the little window. Make sure you relabel all the chapter markers to what you want- i.e "Chapter 1 : A New Beginning" and so forth in the top box of that window (you can edit the label in iDVD later as well).

Export the FCP movie as a FCP movie in the export menu under the file menu and just select the box to include chapter markers (don't select to make movie self-contained either - it will take much longer that way).

That's really all there is to it. I just imported a short movie into iDVD 3 and it set up a nice scene selection menu automatically - smooth - very smooth - me like very much...
