What sort of media can FCP playback in realtime?
I have a setup that qualifies for realtime rendereing (G4 867 640 mb)
But when i import files and drop them in timeline it needs always to be rendered.
I just used some .mov format.
I tried to convert it to streaming dv but no luck. Do i need to setup FCP in different way?
I use now DV Pal setup. I have tried Offline DV(RT) didn't work either.

Realtime rendering is only for the supported effects (the ones that are bold) - media format conversion always requires a render.
