I just got my copy of Cubase SX. I can't find anything in the manual re. this question.

In apps like SoundStudio, you can import AIFFs and individually edit the right or left channels. When I import an AIFF into Cubase, it puts it in one track (with channels are still there), but it doesn't look like I can highlight the individual right or left sides. Am I retarded or just missing something?
