Is there any software aout there that I can use to burn data onto DVD's instead of video? I am going to buy a Cendyne DVD burner this week and I want to back up my HD bofore I install OSX. Any suggestions? Thanks.
You can use both Toast and the finder to burn data onto a DVD. Toast is much more flexible, though. There are at least two other commercial programs out there in addition to Toast, but I don't know there names. Search MacUpdate or Versiontracker.
Unless you're making an installation disc or need something specific, just drag your data to the DVD-R icon and you're done. You may wish to put all the data in a single folder ahead of time.
