OK... here is the deal. I want to export a few movies (less than a minute each) to quicktime so that I can post them on the web (.mac). I know that I can just choose 'web' under the export menu, but from my understanding, there are better options under the expert options. I have a tried a couple of these, namely sorensen, so I'm wondering what other people recommend.

So, what is the best setting for decent quality video while keeping the size low? Any input is appreciated.

i do prefer mpeg4 and the AAC sound compression - it's very lil' files and very good sound and picture quality.

I've had good experience with this setup:
export to quicktime movie
mpeg4 compression
15 frames
key frame 10
data rate 20kb/s
size 320x213

for audio i did mpeg 4 (aac) 16 bit stereo, 24 khz

that took 27 min imovie (5.5 gigs in DV) down to about 40 megs with very acceptable quality

Thanks for the help. Actually, I modified your settings slightly and my videos are small and look good. the only major difference is that I used sorensen3 instead of mpeg4. I used a video size of 240 X 180. Don't get me wrong, I love mpeg4, but for this particular project I need sorensen. Thanks again for the tip.
