Sorenson MPEG-4 or Video Pro?

I just got the Sorenson Suite last night and I played around with it a bit.

First off... Wow! I can't believe how good the video is. Would Cleaner 6 do even better?

Towards the end of the night I took a look at the MP4 conversions. It seemed like I got about the same quality at the same data rate. However, it was about 1AM when I finally took a look at it, so my perception might have been off a bit.

Does anybody have any experience between the two? Should I encode mainly with Sorenson Video Pro 3 or encode with Sorenson MPEG-4? Are there any pro/cons that I should be concerned about? For instance, if I use MPEG-4, would non-Quicktime players be able to read the file?

Thanks for any help,
Brian

i work with cleaner 6 at work and home, but have never really had good results with .mp4 (mpeg-4) format.

as i understand it, quicktime 6 (or higher) and windows media player (not sure the version) can both read .mp4 files.

Quicktime 6 can play MPEG-4 files, RealOne and Windows Media Player cannot without a 3rd party Plug-in (WMP can play back MS MPEG4 however).
