Split stereo AIFF into left & right files?

Is there a simple tool out there that will split a stereo AIFF into two mono AIFFs (one left and one right)?

I can do this with QTPro, but it's a bit of a pain.

try Spark ME

open the stereo aif, select one channel (highlighting whichever channel you want), copy, create new audiofile, paste, save.
