make a phone call with the mac?

I'd like to use my mac (TiBook 400, OS 10.2.4) to make a phone call either over the internet or even with the modem to a regular phone, and then use SnapzPro to capture the sound from the other end of the phone. Is there any way in either OS 9 or OS X to do this?

Check out www.mac2phone.com for a voip option. AudioHijack should work for the sound capture.
OS X: Where software installation doesn't require wizards with shields.
