Ok, so I am making a DVD for a friends amateur movies...

I have a set of menus, and some wierd things are happening with them

My main menu has an audio track assigned (4.0 AC3)

a sub menu of that has an AC3 4.0 track also...

Now, I have a motion menu, and I encoded its audio as 2.0 only.. but it wont let me select it.

If I re-encode the track as 4.0, I can...

Basically, ALL the menus in DVDSP have to have the same audio layout as the Main menu??

Is this right?

(if i set the main menu to a 2.0 audio track, I can set the other menus to 2.0, and if i set it to 5.1, ONLY 5.1 audio will show up in the asset drop down)

Its not a real problem to have a 4.0 soundtrack for my motion menu, I just find this behaviour very odd.
