Hey all, i have an OSX only mac here in the lab, now, the only CD that we have is a FCP3 upgrade CD. as far as i know, i have to install FCP1 (we have 1.2.5 full on CD) and THEN install FCP3 upgrade. but if the machine ain't got no OS9, is this possible?
Thanks!

Call Apple and tell them your situation. Keep in mind that the FCP license is for one machine only unless you have sort of special academic multi-user license. If you have recently upgraded macs and are trying to install it then unfortunately, FCP 1.0 will not install into the newer OSX-only booting macs even in classic mode since you have to be in native OS9. If it applies, tell Apple that you intend to transfer your final cut software to a new mac that is replacing the old one then I'm sure they will be able to provide a solution and quite possibly exchange your copy of FCP 1.0 and upgrade disc for a full install version of FCP 3.0 for OSX.
