No it makes no difference whatsoever........
Uh, sorry to sound like a jerk, but come on man. Take a guess.
Would a car with 2 motors be able to haul more trailer weight?

The answer is yes.

and there is a tonne of information on the web and @ Apple's site that details why this is true.
Lesson 4 the future: Get used to asking questions on google first, or risk getting treated like a moron by some anonymous jerk like me on these boards.

I found this link in less than a minute using google. Granted you may be new at this, and it may take you a bit longer, but certainly not more than a measly 5 minutes.

Please everyone, don't flame me that I was being a jerk. I know this already. I just thought I would show cmay123 a little "tough love"

I hate to differ when using FCP on single 967 performances seems to be no match for a dual 800

They both have about the same RAM yet the dual renders quicker.

it really depends on what your doing ... I use a dual 800 and a 17 inch labtop they both run great with fcp... yes the dual renders faster. The larger the render the time .. the bigger the difference will be.

If you are interested in performance, you should think about getting a 2nd big drive and a cheap raid card. Rendering is disk bounded on the duals (and maby just well the 1GHZ single too).

Check out the Sonnet cards

FCP will run faster on a dual system, it's great, you wil not see proformance double but you will see improvment.
real
With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)

Perhaps, but we are in overtime now and I think I hear the announcer saying that we wont be seeing portable multi CPU systems until we can get more than one core per CPU. Probably not going to happen on the 970, but its architecture supports it, apparently.

Game, Set, Match.........

OK so you could tell that tennis is not my strong hold....

We do lose and I mean the workers as Apple has laid back for to long using bench tests to show how fast one filter works in Photoshop instead of really coming out with a crunchier. I am content with my dual 800 it serves it’s purpose. Yet I have clients that want a 3 Gig Mhz just to check their email and you need that speed for spell check you know what I mean.

My client list has dropped on the Mac side in the last two years and there is only one client willing to make bulk buys of Macs.
