What's up with these Sunday announcements? First Apple with Shake and FCP and now Alias with Maya 5.

I liked what I saw with the Maya 4.5 PLE and I may be switching from LightWave this May when Maya 5 is supposed to be released. I plan on giving Newtek until SIGGRAPH and if there isn't substantial news on LightWave 8, I'm jumping ship.

All I know is with all these new apps being released this year Apple better have some fast Macs (970) to keep up. I'll be the first in line for a dual G5.
