Greetings!

I just got a new Sony DCR TRV-350, and started using it with iMovie (3.0.2) today. My computer is a 800mhz iMac running 10.2.4. When I was using the screen controls for the camera, the rew and ff buttons seemed to work at first both in the "stop" and "play" modes, but then stopped working in the play (cue and review) mode - clicking on them with the mouse just caused the tape to stop. I can work around this, but it sure makes iMovie less fun if I can't fast forward through all the bad stuff to get to the good stuff.

has anyone else seen this problem? Can it be fixed?

Yes, I have the same problem with my Sony DCR-TRV240. The thing is, it worked perfectly in iMovie 2, but since I downloaded 3.0.2, I can't the the onscreen controls to work consistently either. I am assuming that it's because the camera is not supported, but, as you said, you can work around it. Basically, what I do is use the on camera controls since my camera is usually hooked up right next to my computer.

I feel better hearing that. I was hoping that someone'd say that it worked with iMovie 2 and not 3. That tells me it's a bug and it'll get worked out -- I hope.

The TRV-350 has worked fine for me with Final Cut Express, you might look into upgrading if iMovie is still giving you problems.
