Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knew the correct way to install fcp 2 on 12 pwbk that boots only into os x. I know there have been issues with fcp in the past along this lne, and cannot remember. should i boot into classic to install?
or should I just install from X? I am running 10.2.4

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

you will need to go ahead an purchase 3.0 since 2.0 will not install or run under the classic environment.

Lordx,
You know this for certain? No workaround? I'm definitely beginning to get thaat impression. Get a "that application or control panel not supported by classic" when go to launch fcp 2, don't evven get to the rregistration screen.

Also, I was running fcp 2 under classic in 10.2.3 on my beige g3. But I had to boot into classic to do this.

As far I as I know, FCP 2 will not run under classic. I never got it to run on OS X in the classic environment at all, with any OS X version.

FCP cannot run in classic, as the Firewiresupport is very limited.

As your PB can only run OSX you need to update FCP to version 3.

If you do that now you can update to FCP 4 in June for 40$ at the Apple store.
