It works just fine. Phil's is fine. Still goofy looking but he talks fine.

Did you check your quicktime streaming settings are ok under the system prefs pane, under "connection", "transport setup"? There's also an idiot-proof "auto-configure" button that should solve all your problems.

Don't worry, you aren't the only one that it isn't playing for. I tried fooling around with the settings in System Preferences but nothing worked.

Idiot-proof indeed. The discussion at the link below confirms that there is a problem and reveals the 3ivx plug-in to be the culprit. Trash it (from /Library/QuickTime) and enjoy the wonder of Phil.
