Just started learning idvd- Is there anyway to increase the loop length for the background music? My understanding is that 30 seconds is all that's allowed.

Also I would like to include three mp3 songs for people to listen to on the dvd (not as background music). Doesn't seem as if idvd allows for this.

iDVD is an amazingly simple yet powerful program. With such simplicity and consumer price point there will be limitations. I would guess without a hack that you are limited to 30 secs. However most studio releases have 30 sec menus as well. Just fade the music clips in and out in FCP so they don't hiccup. Regarding .mp3 files I would just save them as a quicktime movie (with video. you can be creative or just leave a blank screen to conserve data). Should work fine.

Hey thanks for the pointers, never occured to me to save the mp3's as quicktime movies.
