So how does the sound quality you get from an AAC file compare to Compact Disc Audio?

I think this is a very important consideration relevant ot the new AppleMusic service.

it depends what bitrate you're talking about...

if you can't tell the difference between a 192kbps mp3 and CD audio, then you shouldn't be able to tell the difference between 128kbps AAC and CD audio.

think of it as MP3 with much better compression.
