I'm trying to convert a video clip that I have from PAL to NTSC (it's in svcd) so I'm able to import the file into iDVD so I can put all of my video clips into one DVD.
Is there a program that'll do this?
I tried ffmpegx but if i use this program, do i need to extract the audio file separately from the video file I already have? I'm not sure how ffmpegx works ..... :X
Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

svcd is an MPEG file is it not?
if so - you could use quicktime player to open the MPEG file and export as NTSC DV - then you can put that DV file in iDVD.

Is there anyway to just convert it from PAL to NTSC but keep it @ roughly the same file size so I can burn it onto a VCD [instead of moving it to iDVD] ?
I tried to use quicktime's export function, but the file took forever to re-encode and it was 8 gigabytes big!!! [the file is only 600 megs]

well - you could re-encode the 8 gig file back to NTSC mpeg (1/2)? - I don't know how you turn an mpeg file into an SVCD though...
