I've found a way to cure my audio/video sync problems but it is very time consuming. I was hoping somebody could help me out with an AppleScript or something that could automate the task.
My audio and video drift apart when I write a DVD. The sampling is such that it takes about 10 minutes before the problem is noticeable. If I break my movie up into 10 minute clips and separate them into separate audio and video files, I can put them back into my iMovie project and lock the audio to the video start points. This forces the audio to be where it should (at least, for a while).
Extracting clips from iMovie, separating them into separate audio and video files and reimporting them into iMovie is extremely time consuming. There must be a way to automate this process -- at least part of it.
Let me know if you have any ideas. Maybe you AppleScript experts can come up with something.
By the way, I tried the "Add Scaled" trick but it didn't work for me. It, too, was very time consuming. These audio/video sync problems really suck. There's got to be a better way. In the mean time, I need to get some work done.
