Hi,
I'm not sure if this question belongs here, but here goes.
I'm new to macs and I'm having trouble with something.

For some reason I'm not able to play .wmv files. When I click on one, a page full of script comes up.

I don't know anything about this subject but I just assumed that a .wmv was a windows file. I went to the Microsoft site and downloaded windows media player for mac, but I'm still not able to play them. Any help, insight or direction on this would be great. Thanks a lot.

.wmv is a Windows Media file, so if you can't play them you're browser probably isn't set to handle them correctly. In IE, check under File Helpers in the preferences to see if it's there, otherwise add it and set WMP to play the file.

Thanks. I checked File Helpers and I see that the Windows media player is there. I'll try and tinker with some of the Handling and File Type settings to see if that will get it to work.

There is an OSX windows media player for .wmv files and it works great on my Ghz 17" Apple laptop:

Not only that, it has a metallic interface and looks perfect.

I think "spreading the word of god" is the reason behind the spam. And doing it through .wmv as well.
