I am interested in this question, too. Does the quicktime 6.3 updater and QuickTime 6 MPEG-2 Updater have any negative effects on Final Cut Pro or iMovie?

I installed it on a OS X system, and a windows system.

No issues at all.

I have used the QT 6.3 and the iMovie 3.0.3 updaters and am glad to say, at least for my setup, that they work terrificly. Together they seem to have addressed all of the issues that were plaguing so many. The only issue I have is that the titles do not center, but have been able to correct that with spaces.

iMovie 3.0.3 seems snappier, you can turn off the dreaded Ken Burns Effects, and lots more.

Bottom line: it worked for me.

Good luck.
