After installing DVD studio pro on my Mac I am able to encode MPEG2 from any application.

But for some reason, it seems to generate a separate audio and video file. Is there any way to render out a single file with both audio and video locked together?

Not with that mpeg2 encoder.

You can get something like ffmpegX and "mux" them together (joins the audio & video streams into one file)

This *should* leave the audio/video in sync, since it was encoded properly.

BTW, DVD Studio pro does the same thing when you build the disc. (it just puts them in vob format)

as a side note.. you'll want to keep the audio and video streams as seperate files for any DVD creation. the "muxing" is done by DVD studio pro.
