This weekend I've burned six coasters with iDVD! This has never happened. The discs all seem to burn fine and play in my Mac, but won't play in my DVD player. Just last month I burned three DVDs with no problem.
I'm using the exact same media as before (Memorex). The Quicktime 6.3 update is the only thing I can think of. Has anyone else had similiar problems?

Sorry for the bump, but if anyone has successfully burned a DVD with iDVD since the 6.3 update, could you let me know? I'm trying to pin down the cause of my current problem.
Thanks.

Rats. Well, I guess that's good. At least I can rule out the QT update. But I still have no idea why the sudden problem.
Thanks for the post Weezer.

what are you trying to burn through idvd? an imovie project? a photo dvd? If you click the preview button, does everything go smoothly? What does the status encode screen indicate?

I'm buring movies. One is about 20 minutes, another 55. They were created in iMovie although I've even tried to re-burn an existing iDVD project (that worked fine a month or so ago).
The preview is fine and the DVDs play on my Mac, they won't play on my DVD player or my sisters and I gave one to a friend at work and it wouldn't play on his either. About 30 seconds after you put the disc in the player spits it out and says 'Disc Error.' This is strange because every DVD I've ever burned with iDVD3 has played fine on my DVD player.
In the last week I've gone through seven discs, trying different things (different themes, motion menus on/off, etc.) with no luck. I even tried just grabbing 5 minutes of video from my camera into iMovie and burning it into iDVD with no edits. Same as before...previewed well, played on my Mac, wouldn't play on my DVD player.

The fact that it plays in your mac but not in your dvd player would suggest to me some kind of media incompatibility, that's the only thing I can think of,
