I was wondering how it is possible to play these files on mac os x ? I have most of my music archived in this format , and would like to have it on the ibook for a long trip to listen to . Does anyone know of a player ?

since the evil potato didn't get any answer i'm not expecting much now, but who knows.

I found a precompiled unix binary here.

However when i try to convert any .mpc to aiff (or wav) i get a file that seems to contain static only, yes it is sound, but nowhere near what is expected (it sounds like a tv tuned to anything but a station).

So i wondered if anybody found something better or has an idea other than virtual pc (am on a G5)
