I am trying to capture analog video through a zr65 to iMovie. At times the tape had been stopped then it started after some static. iMovie stops when static starts and does not continue until I manually press start. I have 20 hours of video like this. How can I get around this?

that's wierd. Whenever I'm importing and I've stopped the camera and started again, imovie just makes it a new clip for me, its quite handy. It must be that you have static for an extended period of time, but even then I would think it would still go on...sorry

fix the tracking?

sorry, that was the answer to all our woes with our old vcr. it was always the tracking. Or cleaning the heads on the vhs player. Which you might try.
