A good Cam for 2 Gs?

Hi all!

I wanna buy something "good enough".
I would like it to be able to be able to see something in dark rooms anyway (like night clubs) because I will do some videos for music and imagine that I would have to record in this kind of conditions...

Any advice, experience to share?

For consumer stuff go Canon. Sony is aight too. I'd stay away from those peripheral brands. But that's based on nothing at all...
