DVD burning iDVD3iMovie3 doesn't work

I am transfering home videos to DVD and nothing works! They freeze on the DVD player an hour and twenty minutes into it. Apple tech support said it was that the camcorder is not compatible. I have transfered 3 tapes successfully, but this one does not work.I am using Apple media. The Quicktime file looks great. I was having this problem on the other ones with a TDK disk. They said to reimport, but 20 more hours of work is not tempting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

why not just make them 80 minutes per disc instead of 90?
