Apple has an offer to switch from
Adobe Premiere to Final Cut Express
for free. See:
http://www.apple.com/finalcut/offer/

The problem for me is that you have to
send in the original Adobe Premiere
install CD. Upgrade CDs are not accepted.
As a long-time user of Adobe Premiere
(started at version 1 or 2), my original
CD is long gone. I only have the upgrade
CDs for the last two releases (6 and 6.5).

By the way, back during Adobe Premiere 1
and 2, I don't think it even came on a CD.
I think it came on multiple floppy disks.

That's funny. I too was an early paying customer back in '91 or '92, whenever that was. Even bought two of the $99 upgrades.

I haven't played with any A/V in so long, but if it was FREE!

If anyone finds Apple being understanding about this, I'd like to know.
