I have captured video from my DV camera on Windows and Mac. I just used Microsoft's built in Movie Maker 2 to create a .wmv on the fly. I am using Quicktime Broadcaster to create a .mov on the fly. The quality of the .wmv is much better and the file size is much smaller. Am I doing something wrong with Quicktime Broadcaster? I'm looking to create files that are about 1MB/minute of footage.

Thanks for any help.
