The external Que! hard drive I'm trying to import DV files from a Canon ZR10 doesn't seem to be working very well. The video playback on the monitor is very jerky compared with the internal hard drive, and it freezes up after about 5-6 minutes. Importing works fine on the internal hard drive. Any ideas? The firewire drive is 7200 RPM so speed shouldn't be a problem.

It might be a pre-Oxfor 911 chipset. If it is then you are definitely not going to get the desired speed out of your drive. But don't trip, enclosures are cheap!
