Compared to version 1.5, DVDSP 2.0 is way easier to use. There is a bit of a learning curve and I do find myself checking the manual quite a bit. Thankfully the manual for DVDSP 2 is very well written and easy to follow. Did you get a chance to tryout the tutorials yet (basic and advance)? Completing them is a great way to level out that learning curve. I'm on my 3rd DVD right now and it's only been two weeks since I've had the program. Not too bad for this beginner.

The interface is totally different from v1.5. There are so many different tabs and palettes (makes PhotoShop look sparse in that department) that you're not sure where to start. But then it begins to fall into place and becomes second nature.
Overall, the experience of building menus and linking buttons and tracks to each other is a lot easier. It's also a lot easier to keep track of your media when you're working on a big project.

I am just getting familiar also, seems pretty intuitive though- if you know what you are trying to do it's pretty easy.

Got the box last weekend and just finished the Basic Tutorial yesterday. Hoping to do the Advanced Tutorial by this weekend.
My biggest struggle (being a newbie to video editing) is getting the formats down. Muxing, de-muxing, 48kHz, etc., etc., has been the biggest problem. I hope I'm converting my MPEG-1 videos with the best quality I can and using the best tools. I'm archiving home movies so I want it to be right the first time.
My gf was looking over my shoulder last nite as I did the tutorial. She said it looks complicated. I said 'it's a Mac, 90% of it is intuitive', and it is. Great program.
