We are looking for recommendations on a virtual mixing environment that
can be linked to external vid mixer (like v-4 or other). need to have
multiple input streams (4 or 5) from files and live inputs. also
needs to have 5 output streams that can be switched on the fly from 1
stream to all 5 outs or up to 5 streams for the 5 outs respectively - with
no glitches.

stability is very important and we need to be able to set up long
sequences of images (up to 8 hours) to be pulled from hard drive and sent to
diff. vid. outs. at least 3 or 4 simultaneous output
steams/sequences.
-we will build the computer around the needs of the environment. -

have been looking at AVID Xpress Pro, and some others but not sure if
they are really what we need.

we need something powerful and tested...and soon.
Id like this to run in mac osX, and
could afford to put a few thousand into it but not to the level of pro
broadcast suite.

thanks, stacy.
