DVDr Challenge Question For Macnn Users

- a challenge to macnn users -

Post your solution for accomplishing the stated task: authoring a DVD (to be playable in any retail DVD player) from multiple .avi (DiVX or XViD) clips.

Important Factors:

1) quality - try to maintain highest quality through all encoding
steps.
2) file size - try to keep each clip at the smallest size once
converted, in order to fit the most clips on the disc.
3) process - the best solution should contain the fewest amount of
steps, and programs used, while maintaining the above factors.

Use any software, just explain clearly how to use/configure it.
