Is there other software that does the same function as DVD2oneX but cheaper?

It's worth the money, in my experience.

I had been using 1.0 for quite a while, so this is a nice upgrade. Haven't actually used it yet, but the option to join two DVDs together sounds like it will be great for those doublesided DVDs I made before DVD2OneX was available.

yeah, DVDRemaster. they say it's faster than DVD2OneX, haven't tried it though. check out this post:

Looks almost the same as DVD2oneX but what about "forty two dx"? Anyone try that software yet?

I could never get Forty Two to work for me at all, and it wasn't for lack of trying.

Yeah, me too. I always get this message "Audio is not AC3" try something something..... Just too much hassle.
