Hello,

I just got an iSight, downloaded QT Streaming Server, and have Quicktime broadcaster. So far I've succeeded in broadcasting to other computers in my house, but I can't figure out how to broadcast to the outside world.

This is just for entertainment/business reasons... basically setting up a personal webcam type thing so I can show my graphics guy in Mass stuff I'm doing, and also just chat with friends across country with a visual aid. Point being, I don't need anything too fancy, just the ability to give my friends a specific URL so they can see the camera.

I have my own website address and host, so can I run it through there? Are there other ways of just streaming to the net aside from crappy programs like Yahoo?

You can join WebCamNow.com for free and download their free OSX upload software, which is designed by Evolution, the makers of EvoCam (actually its almost identical to their $20 shareware). Works really well (including iSight), if somewhat slow frame rates.

Cool, I downloaded that, but now how do I get my friend on a PC to see my steam???

Or, if nothing else, how do I set up my website to play a streaming movie? Please help!
